His counsel claims Trump was "shocked" by indictment.

Donald Trump was "shocked" to hear that a Manhattan grand jury had voted to indict him, his lawyer said. The former president will be arraigned on 34 counts on Tuesday. Joe Tacopina told Fox News host Sean Hannity that he talked to Trump, 76, after the indictment came out. He said that they both heard about it from the news, not from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office. "He is ready to go to war. I don't know anyone tougher than him. "He was shocked, you know, because we weren't really shocked. I was shocked," Tacopina said of Trump's reaction to the indictment. "I've never been so angry about a charge because today, the rule of law in the United States of America died. It's over. It's dead," Tacopina said.
